Use your leftover turkey to make this Turkey Jalapeño Grilled Cheese! This easy recipe uses sourdough bread, Organic Valley® Grassmilk Cheddar Cheese, spinach, and leftover turkey for an easy sandwich that can be made in your waffle iron or in a skillet. Dip it in ranch for a delicious lunch!
Ingredients
-
2 slices sourdough bread
-
2 tablespoons Organic Valley® Salted Butter
-
1/2 cup grated Organic Valley® Grassmilk Cheddar Cheese
-
1/4 cup spinach
-
1 to 2 tablespoons jalapeños
-
2 slices leftover turkey or Organic Prairie® Roasted Turkey
-
Ranch dressing (optional)
Directions
- Preheat waffle iron so it’s ready. Or alternatively, in a large skillet, put over low/medium heat.
- Spread butter onto each slice of bread. Place the bread butter side down in the waffle iron (or in the skillet).
- Top bread with one third of the grated cheese. Add the spinach and jalapeños, then another one third of the grated cheese, then the turkey, then the remaining one third of grated cheese. Top with the second piece of bread, butter side up.
- Close waffle iron and press down firmly to secure. Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted. If using a skillet, flip sandwich once the cheese is melted and the bread begins to brown on one side, about 2 to 3 minutes. Continue to cook until golden brown on each side.
- Serve with ranch for dipping.
